From June 27th to 29th, the 5th China Polar Youth Forum was successfully held in Hailar, Inner Mongolia. Hosted by the China Association of Polar Young Scientists and undertaken by the Hulunbuir Meteorological Bureau, the forum gathered over 200 representatives from polar research institutions, universities, and high-tech enterprises.

With the purpose of "building an academic community and promoting interdisciplinary innovation", the forum focused on cutting-edge topics such as polar ecological environment protection, cold-region ecosystems, ice-snow climate simulation, and environmental engineering under the background of global climate change.

Deputy Director Zhang Beichen from the Polar Research Institute of China attended the forum for guidance. Well-known scholars including Researcher Qin Weijia, former Director of the Polar Exploration Office of the State Oceanic Administration, Professor Liu Yongqin from Lanzhou University, Professor Zhou Lei from Shanghai Jiao Tong University, and Professor Liu Yonggang from Peking University delivered wonderful invited reports, covering frontier research directions such as polynyas observation, geoscience knowledge graph, and deep-time paleoclimate simulation.

Focus on Polar Needs, Showcase Hardcore Technologies

Qianhai Technology was invited to showcase a variety of high-precision meteorological observation equipment at the concurrent exhibition of the forum, presenting to participating experts the innovative applications of domestic technology in polar environment monitoring. The polar environment is harsh and observation conditions are complex, which place extremely high demands on the stability, accuracy and adaptability of equipment. Based on years of technical accumulation and targeting the special needs of polar research, Qianhai Technology exhibited the following core products:

Microwave radiometer: It continuously monitors atmospheric temperature and humidity profiles around the clock, providing real-time data support for polar climate research and overcoming the limitations of traditional sounding equipment in extremely cold environments.

2D visual raindrop spectrometer & fog droplet spectrometer: They accurately measure the size distribution of precipitation particles and the microphysical characteristics of fog droplets, contributing to the analysis of polar precipitation patterns and the research on cloud and fog formation mechanisms.

Vertical laser wind radar & small 3D scanning laser wind radar: Adopting laser remote sensing technology, they obtain wind speed, wind direction and 3D wind field information in a non-contact manner. Adaptable to polar environments with strong winds and low temperatures, they provide reliable tools for polar atmospheric dynamics research.

Technology empowers the polar regions, and the original aspiration has never changed

The polar regions are "sensitive indicators" of global climate change and also frontier positions for scientific research. Qianhai Technology has always taken "serving scientific exploration with technological innovation" as its mission, and continuously optimizes the performance of its products in extreme environments:

Anti-low temperature design: The equipment can operate stably at -60℃.

Lightweight and low power consumption: Adapt to the deployment requirements of polar scientific research stations and unmanned automatic stations.

Data intelligence integration: Support remote monitoring and multi-platform data fusion to improve scientific research efficiency.

In the future, Qianhai Technology will continue to deepen cooperation with polar scientific research institutions, promote the application of domestic high-end meteorological equipment in special environments such as polar regions and "polar-like" areas, and contribute Chinese scientific and technological strength to global climate change research.
